Defrosting pork butt and ribs

I usually don't freeze the meat but when I bought the pork butt it came with 2 8 pound butts. I couldn't BBQ them both. My question is how many days in advance should I start defrosting the butt and the ribs? Thank you

Three days.
Two, refrigerated, to defrost.
One additional to marinate in the rub
