defective damper vent or not?

Hi, i just got my new weber master touch gbs 57cm. I am firsttimer with pro grill. Used only cheap ****ty ones until now.
After i put it togheter i noticed that the top vent (on top lid), near the handle is not very tight.
I know its not supposed to be air tight, but how loose can it be?
Its like 2mm of space between damper and lid on top and bottom of damper, while on the sides (where its written weber) near w and r its touching the lid. The damper is not loose just not as round (rotund?) as lid.
Should i retun it or what?

Try calling Weber and see what they say. Here in the states, they have always been great to deal with. Good luck and keep us posted.

Also, welcome to the forum.

unless your dealer can help you, then try bending it back. not sure how weber works where you are. it it was me I would just drill out the rivet, bend the vent back to shape and use a bolt and nut to put it back together.
