Daddy Day Dogs

Yesterday I came home from the store with a couple of jars of Sport Peppers, much to the delight of my step-son Matt. (He loves them!)

So that meant spiral cut dogs today. (I think I am getting the hang of cutting these.)

Sent Matt to the store for buns and other things. He gets back home as I take the dogs off the grill. He forgot the buns! So we used plain bread. They were still good!

I have to stop using my phone for these pictures, the dogs look burnt!

For those who have not seen this done, here is the video. Do not be discouraged if they look bad the first couple of times you try cutting them, mine didnt.

My first attempt, pretty bad. Guess what? You can still eat them.

I have been slicing my dogs like that since I saw that video a few months back. Adds a lot more of the crispiness to the dogs and more room for toppings to sit.
