Curse Of The Goat?

You know, when the Cubs were down 3 games to one, and when they lost the lead last night and came back I thought about just one thing. A nice BBQ goat sandwich. IF the Billy Goat Tavern was smart they should serve them today. I had to get mine at Willis Tower.
oh, i think the curse is, in fact, still intact.....

Billy Sianis's telegram to then team owner Philip K. Wrigley:
“You are going to lose this World Series and you are never going to win another World Series again. You are never going to win a World Series again because you insulted my goat.”

Not really a Cubbies fan - but that last game was FITTING for a World Series Final that was over 100 years in the making.
But you gotta' admit - when the Cubs' hitting gets HOT; it doesn't really matter who the opposition puts on the mound, DANG!
Maybe the Brewers will acquire some mojo something like that in the next year or two...

Over the past two weeks, we've all had the chance to see some pretty darned good Baseball (regardless of who you normally root for).

I have a FEELING that "BBQ Goat" is going to become the new Delicacy on the North Side of Chi-Town...(then again, maybe better not tempt fate for ANOTHER 108 years...)

I'll give them props, the better team won and what a series!
Kinda cool ( for me ) to be around to see all 5 Chicago teams win at least 1 championship.:)

CPD estimated a crowd of 5 mil showed up downtown for the parade today. I thought of taking an early day because I'm working only a few blocks from Michigan ave, but the drive home wasn't bad.

Barb and I watched the parade on WGN yesterday, it was unbelievable how many people came out for the parade. Estimated at 5 million plus, just a sea of humanity along Michigan avenue. Each street they passed the people were stacked up a block back or more.
Very happy for the people of Chicago who have supported the lovable losers for so many years. The Cubbies did good!
