Curb Find

Dirty, but great potential. I don’t want to upset the purists but I will probably drop in a deep cookbox I have so I can rock the Dave Santana bling. The side tables are filthy (the frames). Simple green and steel wool is the way to go?

Great base grill to restore, but not sure you can drop a 13 bar deep cook box in there. Hopefully you don't need any parts because they are pretty tough to find for that model.

I’m thinking I could swap the cookbox as it’s an 8006 control panel. Manifold will definitely fit. The only part that needs replacement is the “modesty piece” that goes across the front. And I have one from a Genesis Platinum that I found during my earliest onset of Weberitis.

If that means losing that cool long condiment rack in front, then I am ag’in it! That’s the centerpiece of that model!

Seriously, do what you like. I think Dave could make you a replacement set of those tall flavorizer bars.

I just have to remember to test it next time I have an extended frame Genesis silver frame in the driveway.

How do we feel about this? Not mine, but I have the SS hood to do this.
