Craycort grates

Hoping I will too. Picking them up Sun and she also is throwing in a unused vegetable/wok insert wedge so its a good deal for me. I may buy the griddle/flat insert down the road if I like how this all works.

Jackpot! Wow. Great find. I'd love to see that wok in action. Post some pitchas! They make a grate for the smoky joe , no?

I have had the craycourt Weber insert since Dec 2010 and really enjoy it on my Performer. Recently I've picked up a couple inexpensive used kettles; a 22.5" OTS for $10 and a very good condition 22.5" OTG for $30 on craigslist. I'll keep one of these at home as a back up to the Performer and have taken one to my office where I have a small patio area. I found these char-broil universal cast iron grill inserts at amazon.com which supposedly fit the weber (picture below). I ordered the last one they had in stock and it should be here early next week. It's 1/3 the cost of the craycort AND ships for free with prime. I'm looking forward to seeing how well it works.

Pete, the Char-Broil grates definitely fit 18" and 22" kettles. They're not quite as snug as the factory grates but they won't slip off the tabs.

I ordered the same from Amazon and got it yesterday. Plan on using it on my 26 OTG and still have room for indirect cooking when I set it on top the stainless grate. Not very thick cast iron and definitely not with a porcelain finish as they advertise. Possibly pre-seasoned but not sure on that either.
