I should have taken some pictures but I am blown away by how resilient these grills are. I picked up a OTG for $10.
I scraped off the rust where I could, painted the ash bucket and the bottom wire rack with black high heat paint. And bought a new OTS grate (I don't like the flip up grate, I figure build the fire right when you start and you don't need to add coals).
This thing looks and cooks as good as new. I thought I was going to miss my OTS, but this is a definite improvement.
Seems like there are a lot of deals out there now...
