Our local store had boneless country style ribs onsale this week for $1.98#
There are 3 or 4 "ribs" in a package. Last night I decided to season each one differently and we could all try them and see what we liked best.
All were seasoned with Penzey's blends. The first was hit with Barbecue of the Americas, the second with 33rd & Galena and the third with Prime Rib Rub.
We all liked the 33rd & Galena but the Prime Rib Rub was amazing. The BBQ of the Americas was only so so.
We also did a sampler of stuffed jalapenos. Each was stuffed with cheddar and jack. Two with just cheese, two with cheese and jicama, and two with cheese and sport peppers. All were dusted with Northwoods seasoning from Penzeys.
Sides were corn on the cob on the back up Weber and sliced jicama. The jicama was sliced thick and brushed with oil. Be careful and do not burn them like I did. They should be golden not blackened. They taste like a sweet french fry.
