Cost of Brisket

Hi All,

With all the writeups on brisket making my mouth water, I am going for it this weekend. Hard for me to find packers, but a butcher where I work has them.

How much per pound is a fair price for brisket?

I was in wally world earlier today. A flat costs
like $4.70 per pound. The one they had was $40.
Packers were $1.78 per pound. They are Select.

The couple I've got at Smart & Final were $1.89/lb, might be able to get it cheaper on sale.

Sams had packers for 1.62, and wally world had them for 1.67

Flats at sams run 2.86, and most other stores from 3.59-4.00 lb.

i get my packers from super walmart - 1.67 to 1.70 lb.

Packers at Super Wal Mart $1.67 - $1.78 lb. Flats at BJ's $2.99 - $3.29 lb.

Just paid $1.85/lb for 2 15lb packers at Excel Corned Beef in Chicago.
