Used some out of a bag I had opened years ago last night to grill some burgers. Man, I was impressed. I was before but had forgotten how good they are. Today I went out to clean the grill and found almost all the briquettes still whole and still hard. The ones that showed use and loss of volume were still hard and not crumbly at all. Ghe heat produced was more than hot enough for anyone. Then there is the nice smell. Recommend revisiting these coals. And yes, the remaining coals can easily be reused.

Also there was very little ash to deal with. Would like to see this compared to webers charcoal.

I used to buy it at Lowes but a few years ago the stores stopped carrying it. To add insult to injury, the employee that told me about it said they clearanced their last few bags for about $2 apiece...

Yup, orchard supply, a ca store carried it. About 2 months ago they had it on sale for 2.50 a bag so I bought all the good bags. Score !

I've never seen it for sale around here, otherwise I'd give it a try.
