Today it is Cornish Game Hens with grilled corn on the cob.

Game hens brined overnight with Mad Hunky Poultry brine and coated with Myron Mixon's chicken rub. Corn was soaked for about 4 hours in cold water with spices (old bay, cajun seasoning, chipolte and ancho)added to the water.

Getting them on the grill was a disaster. Tried to fit them on the ROL, but could not get them
even enough to keep the trays from turning over (thank goodness for foil). That is the reason for the spotchy rub and the rub on the corn. Indirect with maple wood for smoking.

About 1 hour in and at temp of 145 internal. Grill maintaining a dome temp of 350. Rotated hens and corn. Sprayed chicken with some RSC marinade that I had from my last RSC cook.

Off the grill at internal temp of 165.

Game hens were very moist with crispy skin. Corn was sweet with a hint of my spice mixture. Overall a very delicious meal. Yes, we both ate the WHOLE thing..

Except for the other 2 hens and corn that went to my wife's mother.

Thanks for looking.

Excellent Dinner Mike!!

Perfect color on those birds! And now i feel like grilling up some Cobbs(Oscars favorite) Great post Mike!

Thanks everyone for your nice comments. Bob: trying to get this "winter" over with, so anything summery I will try.. Bill W: I saw your hens last week and they were outstanding. I believe you split yours while I did mine whole.

Great looking meal Mike, but you totally missed your chance to tell everyone you got a Ranch Kettle and it holds 4 full size chickens. Not sure how to explain the giant ears of corn, though.
