Cool Wheels for Kettle


 
Can you post a closer up some time of your wheel showings the shaft collar as I'm not exactly sure of the setup?

I also put 1 x 3/8" ID SS washers on the backside of the wheel, & one washer behind the shaft collar, (pictured). This allowed for any slack to be taken up as I wanted the shaft collar flush with the end of the axle. The shaft collar is tightened with an allen-key grub screw.

Edit: The type of wheel pictured is different from the wheels I've had on other Weber kettles. This wheel has an integral, extended hub on the inside of about 2 inches, (pictured below). So all I needed was a couple of washers to take up any slack. If you have the type of wheel that has a flush hub then you may need two shaft collars per wheel. And set it up with the leg and wheel between two shaft collars.
