cooked prok butt too hot

put the 13lbs pork butt on 18"WSM at 11pm last night - dome temperature at 225F before i went to bed. Woke up at 6:30 this morning and dome temperature is at 300F. Put a thermometer in meet - 205F. Is it done after 8hrs? Used MM/fuel is hard briquets from Trader Joes. Guess hotter than Kingsford.
 
thanks all for the comments - the pork is inside and i will pull it in 1 or 2 hours - it sounds like it should be good - i will reply later with the guest's comments
 
Kind of late for this comment but you may find a little more fat left in the butt since it hasn't had as much time to render everything out.
