Convection Oven

To make this bbq related I like reheating my ribs in my Jet Stream Oven. They come out like they just came off the smoker. I have been with this forum for many years and trust your opinions. I have gone through five jet stream ovens through the years. They cook better than anything I have ever seen but just dont last. Made from To much plastic. I am trying to find a good toaster convection oven. I had bought one a few years for $300 and its crap. I know some of you have to have one you can reccommend.

I do not have a convection oven per say, but we use a nesco roaster which has a convection top to cook our turkey and it seems to be very good. They come in various sizes but although they are a convection oven they would not do toast.

I have this one by Cuisinart I got at Costco for $99 several years ago (mine has the SS exterior). Works great, I heardly ever use my regular oven any more.

Thanks for the replies. I was trying to buy the cuisinart TOB-195 but was out of stock every where. Just ordered the Krups FBC2. I think what made the Jet Stream work so good was the mini tornado in there. Fan rotated 2500 rpm.

Watched that bbq pitmasters this morning. Was a good show. Guy that won used the high heat method. Another guy used the webers and did pretty good.

Got pot of pinto's going to go with ribs tomorrow.

Happy Q'ing.

What about your microwave?

If it's also due for replacement - some of the newer above-stove units integrate microwave and convection oven.

Know it's probably more than you may want to spend, but you can "kill two birds with one stone", get a high-quality unit, and save some counter-top space.

Just a little food for thought...
