Well after owning every size WSM and sold them all, I'm coming home. Found a decent 18.5 WSM for a steal. Every aluminum part was bent. I have to assume they smoked more than meat! Currently I'm doing a burn after adjusting the afore mentioned parts. I forgot just how big and deep the waterbowl is. It's huge. My past decade or so was with the old Piedmont Pan. I do miss that. Not sure what to do with this waterbowl.
I'm hunting the silicone thermometer grommet...didn't see it at Weber. Amazon has generics. Anyone with any experience with those?
I need to get thermometer. Pit temp and 2 meats? What makes sense these days?
So how long has it been? I didn't know charcoal was sold in 16lb. bags. That's how long.
The bill for 4 bags of charcoal, 2 bags of wood chunks and something for the spouse $121.00
New to me 18.5 WSM $100.
Good day by any measure...better go buy more charcoal...those small bags don't go as far as the old ones.
Just the smell of burning charcoal warms the heart and settles the nerves.
