Cleaning the outside surface

I'm not sure if I am bad at using the search engine and if this is posted somewhere I am sorry.

I keep looking at all of these photos and notice alot of nice and clean looking smokers and grills. What do you guys clean the exterior with? My wsm leaks alot of smoke which I need to clean off.

So how you you guys get yours so polished

Simple Green, Steel wool (0, 00 and/or "fine"), wipe all scrubbed residue down with a clean damp rag, let dry, then steel wool (clean pad) one last time.

i used to use steel wool but i no longer use steel wool. it tends to leave pieces that later rust and that marks things. just a cleaner, scrub with ss or copper wool, rinse, wash with soap, rinse and dry off with a dry cloth.

Awesome I will give simple green a shot. I just need to get these gaskets to eliminate the leaks

the cleaner i use is something called awesome orange. that stuff works. something must be good in it cuz the grass likes it.
