Hello all this is my first post and hopefully it will be a useful one!
I spent a long time looking for a container in which to clean the circular grill of my Weber kettle barbecue. It measures 54 or 55 centimeters (slightly smaller than the actual Weber itself obviously) and it's one of those sizes it's hard to get a container for.
In the end I bought a big drip tray used in a garage but it's still too big. I now have a solution - at least for those of you in the UK!
I just went to B&Q and they were selling plastic wreath holders for Christmas wreaths. They're circular, made of solid plastic and easily fit the 54 centimeter wide circular grill from my kettle barbecue.
It will actually fit something a couple of centimeters bigger but as I have the biggest Weber then I know this is big enough to cover all requirements and it fits perfectly. It was only about £14 and because it comes with a lid, it's like having two containers - so you can use one for soaking and cleaning your grill and have one as a backup (or which you can give to someone else).
I hope this helps fellow bbq'ers!
Happy New Year to everyone.
Kyri
