I picked mine up at an estate sale for $50, I also had to replace the cooking grill and it cleaned up like new. I can say with the gas charcoal starter I now do much more charcoal grilling then gasser grilling because its so easy and fuss free with the performer or maybe its because I'm lazy, old, slow and full of fleas, I just don't know.

Just an update, I decided to gift myself a Craycort cast iron grate for the performer.. I figured since I've saved so much money on the Performer.. why not.. plus black Friday special was 20% off.. had a hard look at the gourmet system but opted for the craycort.
 
I got mine on Craigslist for 180$ and thought I did well. That's awesome! You really made that look brand new on the outside.
