Happy holidays to all fellow Weber enthusiasts. I also was a very good boy this year, and my wife and daughter decided to help me do more cooking. The weather was cold and had a brief snow storm in the morning, but I was able to get the new Copper Performer platinum ready to go. This is only my second time grilling a turkey, I did one previously on my 22" OTG. I don't have a WSM (yet, ;)), but I found a great Weber recipe for a Smoked turkey from my "Weber's Real Grilling" book. I was so excited, I didn't get a lot of pics, but here are a few. Sorry no plated pics, the plate didn't stay full for long. My family really enjoyed it, and that is the most important thing to me.

About 10 mins into the cook. Just wanted to peek and see how it was going.

Completed cook while resting. Temps on Maverick probes were holding around 375deg and it took just over 3 hours to reach 170 in thigh. Other than the spotty runs on the top, I was happy with it. I accidentally squirted some of the injection on top while I was moving to different parts. I won't let that happen again!!:mad:
