Chipotle question

Just bought some Chipotle in adobo sauce and only used one piece for this recipe I am trying. What is the best way to store the leftover Chipotle's? How long can I store them?

Ed, I put them in a small Tupperware container and in the fridge. Almost forever.

You makin Chipotle Mayo?

no it's a coleslaw that required 1/2 teaspoon of chipotle, 1/4 cup of mayo plus some other ingrediants that Larry R told me about, so I thought I'd give it a try.

Dude, I know what your making! Let me know how it turns out, I have a feeling it's going to be great! Can't wait to try it myself, maybe 4th of July.

Go Bulldogs (Fresno)!

Betty already tells me that it's too hot... wimpy wimpy wimpy. I am letting it set up for awhile before trying it out.
The Bulldogs will win the College World Series, I gaurantee it.

Sounds very tasty! - Larry[/QUOTE]

Just tried some and I think it needs to cut back on the cilantro, otherwise it's pretty darn good stuff. I am just not a big fan of cilantro, some of you might enjoy that taste more than I do.

Cilantro was an aquired taste for me. Still can't get used to parsley!

Thank you for the link. I love mayo and gaining a great taste for Chipotle. Anyone know how to make a Chipotle Butter. I saw one on TV and with Jersey corn coming soon i figured it would be a great combination.

the cool part is that they freeze into an adobo slushy that makes it easy to pluck on out when needed.

I tried making some chipotle mayo without opening a can, and instead just used ground chipotle powder. It was still good, but not as good as the stuff I've had in a restaurant.
