Chimney starter

Thank you. So just regular charcoals will do? I don’t need the kind that are presoaked? I guess I’m finding it hard to believe they will light without lighter fluid or being the pre-soaked kind of charcoals.

Works every time. If it helps, think of it this way....you are only using the newspaper or the fire starter cube to light the bottom layer of coals. Once they are going, they are what lights the coals above them, keeps going all the way to the top.

i got a chimney going on the beach in a fairly stiff wind, my chef friend said “no way this will work”, and we were eating burgers about 2 beers later...
