I know in all of our rubs and sauces Chili powder and Cayenne come into play a lot. Most of us buy these spices in larger amounts and if you like your rubs with a bite you may want this. My daughter picked me up some Chili powder from the Chinese Market for me since she couldn't find some bigger packs at store and I used it as usual in a rib sauce. It was one of the hottest ( spice) versions I have ever made. Wife loved it but it was a little too hot for the father-in-law and I.
For those of you who like a little extra bite in their rubs and sauces you may want to check your local Chinese market for Chili powder. Definitely fresher and more flavorful than some of the others I have gotten from local spice stores..I do recommend you cut back a little from your normal measure till you get the level of spice you like.
