Cherry wood- always brings the color

Some mid-week drumming on the Performer. I’ve made these a couple times a month for the last few years. This is the best Ive seen them look. They tasted great too! Cherry wood really adds a different twist!Cheers!

Nice looking chicken! Yes, cherry wood definitely brings nice color, but I wonder how it would fare in a blind taste test, compared to apple, or hickory or something? There are very few smoke recipes which call for straight cherry - it's usually added in with other woods.

Living in Michigan, I use a fair amount of cherry on its own and love the flavor profile on its own! Makes the neighborhood know something is happening at my house!
