If there's an occasion in the STL area, then pork steaks are called for.
I picked up a couple of fresh, thick, center cut 'steaks' and gave them a rub with "Three Little Pigs Touch of Cherry Rub."
Fired some Rancher, and added a chunk of cherry wood:
Grilled indirect at 250 for 2.5 hrs.
Quick sear, brushed one with 'Bandana's Sweet & Smoky' sauce, the other with a mix of 'Blues Hog Tennessee Red Sauce' 60%, and SBR 40%, then added yellow squash:
Had a nice smoke ring:
Plated with squash and sweet and sour tomatoes:
A fine Father's Day Feast!
Can't wait to play around with the Blues Hog TN red sauce some more, should be great on pulled pork.
Thanks for stopping by!
