Chef's Choice BBQ Comp

What is a good unique food that will WOW the judges. ABT's? Asian Chicken Wings? Short Ribs? Dessert? Meatloaf Roast?

Any rules? Some don't allow desserts. Seafood usually does well, the last one we did was won by pork sliders.

I will find more info out this week. I'm liking the meatloaf. Can't go wrong with that. Or bacon wrapped tenders. Then a good anytime.

Perfectly cooked beef tripe, homemade corn tortillas, pico de gallo and a cold beer.

Personally I love a brisket, but what about a stuffed meatloaf?

Prepare what you enjoy preparing the most -- and let the judges do their thing.

You'll enjoy the competition more, and a good showing will be a lot more meaningful than if you are just working the angles to try and win.

It sounds like it may be an appetizer thing. Public will decide. So if that's the case, I may go with a ABT's, smoked Asian chicken Wings or shrimp/scallop bacon wrapped mushroom.
