Charcoal??


 
Paul, for my wsm I only use the K blue now. I've tried others but I know what I'm getting with the K. I also use for all our competitions as well.

Now on my offset I do use RO Lump.

I love Royal Oak lump (red bag) for grilling and smoking for 4 hours or less. I like Stubb's for the long smokes, since it will burn for weeks.

I think it's more fun to use lump, since it's always a little different, but if you're new to it, just know it will probably take a few cooks to get the feel for it.
