Charcoal Grilling Ban in New Jersey

Interesting to hear about dry conditions on the east coast. I'm in St Louis MO and it's been VERY dry here. Very little rain since July/August. I love landscaping and lawncare almost as much as I like grilling and bbq so this this lack of rain is driving me nuts. I'm enjoying the sunshine and lack of humidity but really hoping for some rain soon.
We finally got that rain in STL, I think a whole months worth.

Yeah - about 9" in 3 days I think. Just drove over to Steelville and the Meramec is way way way out of it's banks in Fenton. Hope you were not affected by the flooding. It's about to go over the banks in Steelville

Yay, the burn ban that’s been in effect here in PA since Oct. 27th is over as of today! I’ve missed our weekend neighborhood bonfires.

In New Jersey the outdoor burning ban ended at the end of November without much fanfare.

We have had a good amount of rain recently, so it wasn’t a surprise.

I have both family and friends who are first responders, and although I would like to have been using the charcoal grill, and it probably would have not been problem, I honored the ban as a civic duty. Such a small price to pay.
