A little direct for sear and then indirect to temp. The Carolina sauce is pretty good. Used SBRs instead of ketchup, for a little more depth of flavor. And added some extra dark brown sugar to balance out the vinegar.Your chicken looks nicer that what I burned tonight.
@Joan , I’ll be trying this version next. Basically a 1:1 ratio of ACV and apple juice as the base and then the seasonings. I think this version will lend to more balanced flavors versus a straight vinegar base that’s rounded with brown sugar and ketchup (I used SBRs for deeper flavor).Brett, your a doll, thanks for posting the recipe.
