They were general rules of identification I gave. enough to get most of the wood separated. 25 years of selling firewood helped my out there. I appreciate the help though.
Not all of the apple will be bi color. That really depends where the split came from and if it goes all the way to the heart. He has chunks here. Some apple wood will also have horizontal lines in the bark. But I am nitpicking here and not really helping out.
