Can I just swap SD cards between raspberry pis?

The Raspberry Pi connected to my heatermeter board has a broken USB plug and now it seems that the Ethernet is not working. I have a known good raspberry pi I was using as a VPN server to my network. Can I jsut take the SD card out of the current Pi and put into the other one and everything will be golden?
 
I do this all the time. Depending on how you configured the wifi, the configuration may be tied to the particular dongle you were using so you'd need to move it as well if you want to not have to reconfigure the wireless.
 
Well I just realized the vga port on the Pi needs to be removed to fit the board. I will have to try this a bit later.
