Can I Freeze a Brisket for later Smoking?

I bought a nice looking, full packer brisket on sale for $1.59 lb at Smart and Final. It is a 9.35 lb brisket. Choice, not select. It has a sell date of Dec 4. Can I freeze this, and thaw it out later to smoke? With the busy holidays coming up, I don't think I will have time to smoke this little bad boy. Or, should I just go ahead, bend my schedule a bit, and smoke it the 1st weekend of December. I was wondering if freezing the brisket would be ok.

Yes, buy on sale, freeze then thaw when you have time.

Michael, did just that the other day at Wally World. Got a 15 lb brisket marked down to 1.41/lb. Will thaw it out around Christmas. Prefer fresh but couldn't pass up the price
