Camping Season Q?

So, wife and I are thinking of maybe picking up a tent trailer and heading South into the US for maybe a month or so...start somewhere in Idaho, Washington, or Montana (South of where we are) and then just heading 'wherever" there is something to see - maybe towards the West coast, or just further South. Not worrying too much about where, but wondering how long the camping season really extends in the US into September, October? Are there usually RV parks to find most places along the way in most states? Open to any thoughts or ideas.

Just enter KOA into your favorite search engine and look around for campgrounds/RV areas in whatever part of the country you're interested in. Be aware that the weather has been very changeable lately in a good part of the country and check weather reports as you go. Just my personal opinion, but some of the most beautiful places I've ever seen are in Utah.

That sounds like fun.
I think our parks and camping areas stay open unless it’s a snow closure for the most part.
As I went down town today I noticed the campgrounds and motels full, there was even a long line at the mini mart with lots of people buying fire wood and stuff.

I had to look up where Edmonton was it’s 533 miles or 857.78 kilometers away.
I’m just right across the water from Victoria BC On the Olympic Peninsula.

One of the road trips I would like to do is Yellow Stone National Park and the areas around there so I would recommend that.

Our area is a vacation destination for lots of people and has great camping, hiking and water things to do like fishing/clamming/crabbing or looking at waterfalls.
Googling camping on the Olympic Peninsula brings up a ton of places that are for people of all camping or hiking levels.
I’m not the guy that still does long hikes so I like the easy places and there are plenty of those types spelled out that way.
I’m right on Sequim Bay not far from Sequim Bay State Park and would recommend it because it’s nice.
If you ever get this way drop me a line.

Check out Slim Potato Head on YouTube. He is a Canadian that has traveled the U. S. extensively with a small camping trailer. But be careful, his videos are addictive.

Come on down to Wyoming while you’re going. Yellowstone this year can be a crap shoot, we’ve had an over abundance of travelers the last two years, and early this season got hit with major rain that shut down the park for two or three weeks entirely and closed part into July I think it was.

Camping season depends on you and your gear, and can go all year long, or well into October/November. And remember if you’re ever in a bind, Walmart

I can't tell you the answers, but I've seen that they are out there on the internet, just not necessarily here. I personally would start with Youtube. Youtube creation seem to be a particularly popular activity with campers (and also truck drivers) because the necessary equipment is so small these days.

If you are willing to go with the pop up tent trailer, consider a nice tent next. It will be cheaper and easier to drive anywhere and cheaper and easier to get into any campground, especially if the trailer sites are full.
