Calling all experts, i want to learn one thing about Weber grills today, what are these two holes for?

I have no idea. I don't think I've even noticed those before.

There is two in the front also.
They were definitely punched into the metal when it was made.

The only hole I remember seeing on a lid is the one for the thermometer. I'm getting close to taking the lid apart on my grill so I'll pay attention.

Finishing hooks? No idea really!

Yeah, I'm guessing the parts are hooked in these holes during the porcelain enameling process.

Thanks Boss! Honestly, I’m not sure I’ve ever noticed the things before. Now, that’s an attentive person, taken the lids apart more than enough to have noticed “extra holes” but,I never paid any attention!
