CALIFORNIA THROWDOWN

Hey all you Californians, got something to throw at ya and you just may be interested. I was thinking it would be fun to have a couple of throwdowns here in California with a goal of creating even more comradery (sp) with all who share this love for grilling and smoking. The reason I am thinking two is; one would take place in Northern Cal, and the second one in Southern Cal. We would really like to get as many people involved as possible and collectivley bring our ideas together. It wouldn't really be contest as everyone that participates are winners, so there would only be winners and no losers. If you are interested in doing something like this please throw some ideas into the pot and once we get a solid consenses then we can fianlize the plans and set the dates. Come one come all, let's smoke this state...

That is unfortunate, and we haven't even set a date or time yet. Oh well, we'll try to get this thing going somehow. We'll for sure take a ton of pictures.

Ed this sounds great and it would be a blast. What if we were to find a campground that has a group camping area such as Refugio state just outside of Santa Barbara or some other place. sounds great Toby, we'll just have to see how many folks are interested in this type of event. I know Larry R will be, in fact I just talked to him a few minutes ago. He just bought another Kobe beef tri-tip to grill tonight.

I heard that. I can make it in about fifteen minutes; depending on traffic. Is the beer cold Larry? Boy was that a dumb question.

LOL, the beer is ice cold and it's going down sooooooo good in this 98 degree heat standing out here smelling my kettle cook this tri, this is living!!!!

Just finished with our shark salad. Wow what a bite pardon the pun. We took a bed of romaine topped it with sliced shark steak with a spoon full of the chipotle cole slaw on top with some olives. I added the jalapeno ranch dressing to finish mine off, and there is still a party going on in my mouth. Dang chipotle seeds...
