You Tuber Smoky Ribs posted a video on making a crawfish tail Po boy and I have been wanting to make it for a while.

Buttermilk mixture, dredge and the crawfish tails. I thought I picked up certified Cajun tails but they are a product of China. San Diego isn't really a mecca for Cajun food so I got what I could.

Tails getting a nice soak in the buttermilk mixture

First batch frying

Made a pot of chili too. Used turkey meat and added pinto, black and kidney beans and the end.

1 Lb of crawfish tails fried up.

Added a layer of remoulade sauce, lettuce, tomato and the tails on some bread they had at the store, They didn't have french bread but this worked out just fine. I didn't try the chili but was told it was good. The Po Boy was outstanding!!

That is some quality looking fried tail there John....you guys are going to push me to try frying on the grill and my doctor is going to kill me....

I love my craw tails...Never ever seen em done like this though. But it sure hits the must do list. AWSOME John!

Mannnnnn that po boy looks good! If you are looking for some Cajun crawfish tails try mardi gras cafe in spring valley. They may have some tails from Louisiana. Le Bon temps roule!

Never have seen peeled crawfish before. Never have seen anyone make a crawfish po boy. I have eaten them and I will say that yours looks better than anything I have ever had.

That is where these tails came from. I just assumed they were certified Cajun and didn't notice they weren't untill after I thawed them out.

John,
Momma taught me if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything so I'll refrain from my Cajun diatribe on the ills of Chinese crawfish. Having said that, you certainly made them look nice in your cook! I too have yet to fry on the grill but I will have to make my first attempt soon. Thanks for sharing!
