U don't NEED to tweak it - but sometimes you can get a little better seal with some slight tweaking. Only thing is, this door is not as east to persuade as the stock door. One thing I've done to cut down on the amount of smoke that escapes is I started putting my door on upside-down. Just started doing it a few cooks ago and I like the results. Just one man's opinion. Good smokin'
My Cajun Bandit door fit well to start, and got even better as the door collected gunk and sealed in. I like the post that suggests the door can be used upside down. Makes perfect sense considering the way the door is configured. Great tip.
My and my cousin both got the CB door. Both of ours had to be tweaked a lot to fit. Good to go now but disappointed on how bad both fit out of the box.
