Cajun Bandit Accessories

Having decided upon grabbing another performer to match my 6 month old performer and picking up the Cajun Bandit rotisserie, and the Cajun Bandit kettle smoker conversion kit I have been forced to wait due to out of Country shipping restrictions. Since I have been waiting for more than a month patiently I am looking at the pictures on the site and having second thoughts on the smoker conversion setup. While everyone seems to love the rotisserie, I am still sold on that purchase.
I was hoping some folks could help me out with pictures, I know our friend R. Garcia from waaaaaaay down south has a boat load of Cajun Bandit products and maybe some others do too? The pictures I am interested in are basically of how the setup looks in the kettle.
How deep is the charcoal ring?
Where does the diffuser sit?
How much room is there between the diffuser and the ring?
How much room is there between the lower rack and the diffuser plate?
Basically some pictures showing off how good or bad it is and some insight on how much you like or dislike this product.
I am considering not purchasing the second performer and Cajun Bandit setup for smoking ( $800 ) and only buying the rotisserie( $300 ish ) and either the master touch premium ( $450 ) or the E6 ( $1400 )......which I have a couple questions regarding the E6 too. I know a couple folks have just recently acquired the new one, things about the hinge and seal ect.
Many thanks in advance, this is a big purchase for me as it should be my last large bbq purchase and keep me running for years to come......I hope anyways mostly for my health as the wife will 100% have her way with me while I am sleeping if I tell her I have to buy more bbq items after this purchase. She is getting sick of me talking about it and just said the other day.... " go buy the expensive one " LOL basically so I just shut up.

This pic here throws me off, I cant see how good or bad it is in these pictures at all.

Being that you live so far north, I would suggest adding some form of a kamado style ceramic grill for smoking. Unless you have someway to block the wind & cold it will be hard to hold temps on longer cooks in the colder weather. Just my .02.

I have a lot of concerns with the E6. I know they made it sturdier and it really does look like a kick butt grill to work with. My concern is the seal on the lid, it does have a hinge and with the cleaning how hard is it going to clean that bad boy.
I only see pictures and don't understand how the grill works.....
Smoking the charcoal goes in the bottom and the diffuser sits on the first rack?
and then for grilling there is another rack to put down so the baskets sit on that?
Doesn't really matter, I feel mostly sold on the 26". I need to know that it is superior to smoking vs the 22" because of the extra room....or whatever the reason is. In the winter the bbq's move to the end of the garage which means the door is open and the bbq's sit at the edge of the snow, lots of air flow but not windy where it does crazy things to the heat on the inside.
It's where I am right now.....
Unless the Cajun Bandit smoker conversion product is superior to anything else I have suggested.

I did make a what grill to buy next thread which has led me to the Cajun Bandit option with the 26" kettle with no diffusers or anything as my second choice.

The E6 new design is rock solid. Do not understand your lid seal concern. Gasket on top is replaceable and sealed perfectly from the first cook. Gasket mates to a solid flat easy to clean surface on the bottom bowl. Simple and works...not a whisp of smoke out of mine. I give it a quick wipe as part of every cleanup...just "not a thing".

Yes, for smoking, the charcoal goes on the bottom level, with the diffuser set above them on the middle layer.....but for searing and other types of grilling, you can also place the charcoal on the middle layer too....or place the charcoal baskets with charcoal there...total flexibility. So many options for charcoal placement...absolutely loving my S6.

I just did this last night....(with the expansion rack accessory - though was not really needed). I direct seared steaks on the main grill (left side) over the coals sitting that were in the baskets on the middle rack (no in picture - I had taken them off to rest), while heating up the cast iron pan to sear scallops.

I actually purchased a SECOND charcoal grate so I have two...one I always leave on the bottom layer, and one I insert/remove for the middle layer.

But you can also just spread out the coals right on the middle layer...

The Cajun Bandit Rotisserie Kit for the 26" includes a Rotisserie Ring that is NOT Stainless Steel.
I would still be buying the 22"rotisserie kit for my performer I currently own.
This isn't much of an issue, it is the second grill I have decide I need......LOL......need is a strong word for this purchase.......
I want the second grill to do every smoke I decide to do as well as second as a grill when required.
I have tossed around a lot of ideas, and many have been tossed my way too.
I know how to use the 22" pretty good now and honestly not sure how much better the 26" would be in the smoke situation over anything with a diffuser plate or a kamado built product. I even looked at the Kettle Joe 22 inch.

So just in from Chris at Cajun Bandit. Looks like a no go for me on this one. Apparently they may never ship internationally again, not sure what the problem is but he does mention there is a problem......?????
So that takes all the Cajun Bandit out of the equation.
Makes it simple I guess.
now I just have to decide if I am buying the E6, 26" Kettle , or the Mastertouch premium which I have been talked out of pretty much.
Of course find another rotisserie option. What is everyone's next pick after CB.....Weber brand?
