Anyone use one?, notice any difference over the stock ring?
Just curious because the vent holes in no way equal the volume of the rings holes, and they're shut way down anyway, most of the time.
So I'm struggling to see how a ring with more/larger holes is an advantage
All theories and suppositions appreciated.

I don't have one, but the abundance of holes is probably so what air that is allowed in, can more evenly supply the charcoal.
It is not like a house ridge vent-to-eave vent relationship where the two would be equal.

Don't have one & don't see that as being necessary.
Looks like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
