Just bought a butt at the local Key Food. I went in for ribs for Sunday and came home with ribs and a butt. Couldn't turn it down at $0.79 per pound!!

Nick, sweet deal. Best I've done so far is $1.69/lb for butts. That is direct from a packer a few miles from my home.

My wife is ticked off at me. I have at least 6 butts in the freezer from a sale at the grocery store at $.69/lb--which all Qrs know can't be passed up--but I still bought another one last night at the same store since they were selling for $.99/lb. Same store wanted $3.99 for SPARES! Whatever. I'll stick with the butts at those prices.

Wow! I paid $1.14 per. I don't understand why here in pork country (Iowa) why we are paying more per lb. Go figure! Oh well, got to have it.
