Butter compound under skin night before or wait?

I am trying a butter compound with bacon and herbs.

All I did was puree a stick of butter with 7 strips of raw bacon some garlic cloves and some poultry seasonings.

I have my bird in a brine and is ready to be pulled out in the next couple of hours.

My question is can i go ahead and put my butter compound under the skin tonight or should i wait till the morning?

I have read to let the turkey sit in the fridge over night to dry the skin out. IN previous years i have pulled the turkey out of the brine this morning of and had no issue with soft or rubbery skin. So would the compound be any different?

Any opinions would be great.

If you're going to let the brined turkey air-dry in the refrigerator, I think you'll have a harder time getting that butter under the skin as it dries and shrinks a bit. I would do it sooner rather than later.

Good luck!
