Butt cooking time???

I have a 15 lb. Pork Butt. 2 hours per pound. That puts the cooking time at 30 hours!!! Should I slice it in half? If so how; any way special there? That would leave me two 7 lbs. Butts. 14 hours?

You have one big butt! I personally would cut it,
more bark, less time. We have never found a butt that size. Usually the largest we get are 10 lbs.
Nothing wrong with two 7 1/2 lbs butts. Have a good cook.
 
Never heard of a pork butt so large. Are you sure that's not two pork butts in Cryovac? Otherwise, maybe it's a whole pork shoulder?

After unwrapping it, it's a pork shoulder butt that the butcher cut in half. Didn't realize that he cut it until I unwrapped it. Do I cook it the same as a "butt"?

What you have is two butts, they will take 12 to 18 hours depending on pit temps and when their ready to give up.
