Our local Publix supermarket has a great bakery. They make a french hamburger bun that when heated in the oven produces a crispy exterior and soft interior. It has been my go to bun for a while. Talk about childhood. My grandmother use to blend ground beef and J.D. breakfast sausage for hamburgers and served them on white bread. I may have to do that this weekend. Thanks for jogging my memory. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Those are what I use too.....BUT,,,,if the grills going...toasting them on the grill for a minute or so is better to me than putting them in the oven.

I second the pretzel buns. Local restaurant makes a fantastic chili rubbed burger they serve up on a pretzel bun. Fantastic
