Bruce's and Jon's Kansas City BBQ Adventure!

I am posting this link to a thread I finally wrote about a trip @Bruce and I were able to make to Kansas City to take in as much BBQ and related as we could as well as to meet up with our friend @Dave in KC. I know some of us who hang out in this gas grill section might not otherwise notice this post:

After a short break, that night we went downtown to Jack Stack Barbecue.



This is a very well-known place that I had heard all about from a co-worker in Florida who had moved there from the KC area. She and her husband LOVED Jack Stack, and they were the ones who introduced me to burnt ends. They even brought me back a selection of seasonings after a visit back home that I have kept for years. They were getting pretty old and stale, so this trip was a great chance to get new ones:

Thanks for taking us along for the ride. So well done. Felt like I was also there with the descriptions and pics. I read the whole thing and watched the fascinating video. Independence Porcelain Enamel is like a Weber restorer's playground with all the Kettle colors. You guys crammed a lot into just 2 days. You were obviously in good company. What a fun looking trip!

It was a highlight for me. I know it is slow turnaround, but I am anxious to get my Purple lid back from him. It will be one of a kind. I am even working with him on a little twist....to be revealed later.
