Broilmaster P4 pick-up, test run....

It'll be interesting to see what you do with it and how you like it!
So far I'm impressed and I feel like they are undervalued and underappreciated on the used market. To buy them new they aren't cheap and I can see why. Robust build quality and American made. On the used market they are generally free or cheep in my area and not getting picked up. Some are priced higher but probably won't sell. So what I'm seeing in them so far is an excellent Keeper grill or very nice grill to donate to the right person. Resale could be challenging so I wouldn't pick one up with the intention of making money off of it. Not to say you couldn't make money off one though. These thoughts are just initial impression so far. I need to use it and take it apart before I can say much more but when I do I'll report back.
I would recommend checking them out on the used market in your area.

Yep, they are "tanks" very robust build. Really the "weak" point IMO is the burner. If someone could come up with a cast stainless or bronze burners they'd really be over the top bulletproof wise

I've owned a grill with cast iron burners and I truly hated them. Nothing but grief. Rust builds up and the ports corrode shut. Never again
If the SS burner needs to be replaced at some point that's not a big deal to me. I can handle that. I appreciate you sharing your experience with Broilmaster. I'm still have a lot to learn. I need to put some miles on mine and take it apart to inspect all aspects of the build.

Looks like the Broilmaster burners have a ten year warranty. I think that's pretty good/respectable.

Yeah, they're pretty generous with that. For awhile an original owner got a lifetime burner warranty. But, if one could find a good cast stainless burner that would be amazing.
