Broilmaster G-2000D Restoration

With the deflector plate and the ability to raise and lower the coals they seem to be really cool all in one charcoal grills.
Absolutely I agree! I'm trying to limit the amount of projects I'm taking on but there's a lot of cool stuff out there! Some of the cool vintage stuff if you pass it up you may have never get a second chance.

That’s how mine came when I picked it up. Although the classic old parts have dried up, at least there are some ways to improvise.
I expected the worst and hoped for the best when we picked my G-2000D. I got very lucky needing very little. I was planning to have to improvise parts but seems my only obstacle will be figuring out the best way to convert from NG to LP. I may have to try some parts off my P4 to see what's the best route. If you have any ideas please let me know.
My original burners on both sides are luckily in excellent condition.

I'm finding in my research that the valves need to be changed also but I'm happy to try the easier option of just the orifices

Here is the factory regulator.

I may try the valves and orifices from my Broilmaster P4XF-2 and see if they fit. Obviously I'd remove that NG regulator.
Mine is so different because of the front controls and how far apart they are. Mine was also NG, so I am going to have to convert. The NG line fed into a splitter of metal tubing which was old and didn’t survive disassembly:

I am planning on buying this braided LP split hose regulator to replace the NG line and metal fuel tubing:

Can that high pressure regulator be turned down low enough for a low pressure system?

Glad you pointed that out, Josh. It was the only one saw where the split hoses weren’t way too long. Maybe I can pair a regulator I already have with this instead:
