brisket tacos

What do you braise them in? For how long?

Gregg, I'd like to know what Dwain suggests, but mine was a quickie for lunch (so to speak  ). This brisket had come out a bit dry, so I had already mixed up a little "Better than Boullion" (quarter cup water, tsp BTB?) with a splash of Worchestershire the night before (that was for about a pound of chopped/shredded brisket). To the remaining 1/2 cup of brisket, I added a little (1 tsp.) Old El Paso taco seasoning and a bit more water (just to moisten) and put in the micowave for less than a minute. Crisp tacos (pre-heated in the microwave), shredded cheddar, a great hot salsa that I love (La Sabriozita Cilantro - Walmart), and a bit of sour cream. Oh, and brisket! ;)

They were SO good!

I braised the slices in tacos season mixed with water and added some Beef Broth just to keep the liquid up until they were tender enough to pull into itti bitti pieces with two forks in the pan. I let them simmer in the taco seasoning for a few minutes and dinner was served. Simple to do and tastes GREAT. Better than hamburger tacos IMHO.
