Hi all, any estimate as to how much brisket would be needed to serve around 15 people. I figured a packer and cooking some chicken on the gasser would suffice. Thanks,
I think that would be plenty. Last time I did a full, good sized, packer, all we ate was the flat (saved the point for later chopping). 1/2 of the flat fed 6 adults, and we didn't do sandwiches either.

Plan on 4oz of brisket per person. That calls for approximately 3.75lbs of finished brisket or a raw 7.5lb brisket figuring about a 50% yield after cooking . Since you're serving chicken as well, you can get away with a bit less.
Here's my thoughts. Now when I make brisket that's all I make, no sides etc. so remember that. I like to do flats in the 7-8 lb range. I usually eat at least a 1/4 of that myself, but then again, I'm a brisket fanatic.
