Brisket Point Only

Hi all, I am wanting to add some variety to the thanksgiving meal so will be making burnt ends. I have never smoked just the point, but am thinking that is what I will do considering that we will have lots of turkey as well. Has anyone tried this before? What should I plan on for cook time? Will plan to foil wrap once I hit the 160 range. Thanks for the help!
 
The hardest part is going to be finding a point. I have seen plenty of flats and packers at butchers and the super, but never just the point. As far as smoking one, I'd just throw it on the night before and leave it -- you almost can't overcook it.
