Brinkman pan question...

I read a lot regarding the Brinkman pan conversion, but it I read correctly it seems that this mod is dependent on model year? I have a 2013 18.5 WSM - am I gaining anything by purchasing the Brinkman?

Funny you should ask this question, because I have had the same thought many times. So far I haven't gone for the Brinkmann pan, but here is a link to another thread I just saw today that has some good sounding reasons.

The Brinkman pan is shaped differently and it gives you more clearance between the bottom of the pan and the charcoal.

That's not the right one. You want the 15" version like THIS ONE.

The description says "charcoal" pan, so that's the right one. The Brinkman "water" pan is too small.
