Brine for Grilled Chicken Skewers with Nando's Peri-Peri sauce

2 lbs chicken breast strips for skewers
1/2qt water
1/4C sugar
1/4C kosher salt
2 cloves crushed fresh garlic
2 T lemon juice
heavy sprinkle of crushed chiles and or coarse black pepper

Brine chicken breast for 45 minutes stirring several times, rinse well.
Skewer chicken and pat dry.
Brush with olive oil.
Grill over high heat, brush or serve with Nando's peri-peri sauce.
